About Urd's Well Kindred. |
Urd’s Well Kindred is a Heathen community based in the West Midlands. It was founded in 2002 as the Mercian Heathen Hearth and changed its name to Urd's Well Kindred in 2006.
We describe Heathenry as a set of closely related religions, which are based on the pre-Christian Scandinavian, Germanic and Anglo-Saxon cultures.
A Heathen is a person who follows one of these belief systems.

The aims of the Kindred are:

To practice Heathenry as a valid lifestyle.
To support the Heathen development of the individuals who comprise the membership of Kindred.
To explore and develop the many aspects of Heathenry. These include, but are not limited to, honouring sacred beings (be they gods, ancestors or wights), community building, study of Germanic culture and history, the development of Heritage Skills and understanding the local sacred landscape.
